Not only do we offer maps of the States at different stages of their development, most every one of those maps is by a different map maker, providing you with a rich selection of options. Just as every map maker was a different person, every map they made was a different perspective of the same information. Consequently, each map is as individual as a fingerprint, and each map maker had certain "Trademarks" that communicated at a glance who made that map. Some used a particular decorative border, some used specific color-schemes, some added insets of a city or popular region ~ but no matter how they distinguished themselves, the cartographers of the 18th and 19th Centuries produced beautiful, informative works of art that Maps of the Past now makes available to you.
